Getting started

  1. Set your timezone

Under My times. Every time on the site is then drawn in it, with the zone spelled out — so 7:00 PM EDT, never a bare 7:00. Availability is stored in UTC either way, which is what lets people in different zones agree on the same moment.

  2. Link your character

Under Characters, pick yourself off the Free Company roster. Rosters then show your character rather than your Discord handle, and the roles you can fill are suggested from the jobs you have actually levelled. Nobody verifies the claim — but one character can only be claimed once, and a leader can correct a wrong one.

  3. Mark when you are free

Under My times, drag across the grid for the hours you are usually free, then press Save times. This feeds the public Overlap heatmap, which shows counts only — never who.

  4. Join an event

Open one, tick every role you could fill, and sign up. More roles means more chance of a seat: when the party is short a tank, somebody who can tank or DPS gets moved into the gap.

  5. Or put one on

New event. Pick the duty to prefill the party composition, then either poll for a time — everyone marks the hours they can make and you lock one in — or set the time now and let people sign up. You can sign yourself up in the same step.

  6. Roster and backups

Seats fill by signup order, with anyone who committed to the chosen hour ranked first. Everyone past the last seat becomes a backup, in order, so if somebody drops it is clear who is next. As the organiser you can pin a person to a specific role to override that.

  7. Who sees what

The public sees the overlap heatmap and nothing else — no names, ever. Other members see events, rosters and character links. When you are free is shown only to FC leaders, and, for an event you responded to, its organiser. Responding is what shares it; not responding shares nothing.

  8. Discord — not connected yet

Signing in with Discord already works. What is still switched off is the company Discord server integration, because it needs the Manage Server permission that nobody has granted yet.

When it is switched on: an organiser presses Announce to Discord and the event is posted to the channel as a card — title, time in each reader's own timezone, party composition and who has signed up so far — linking back here. After that, a /raid slash command so people can log availability and sign up without leaving Discord.

Until then the button is there and reports that the webhook is unset. Nothing else on the site depends on it.
